We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location was unsurpassable, with excellent views and a prime position along the coastline. It was great to be right on the promenade, close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself was newly refurbished with a lot of good taste, making it a calm and not overcrowded place to relax. The staff were extremely professional and the service was top-notch. We were impressed with the varied breakfast options and the super quality of the food. The amenities offered, such as room service and laundry services, were convenient and added to our overall comfort.

The location was sick, right on the sea front with the Kvarner Terrace above the Lungomare promenade. We had the best time partying and dancing the night away with our friends. The atmosphere was insane, and the view was out of this world. We felt like rockstars!

The only thing we wished for was more options for young party-goers. It would have been amazing if there were more events or themed nights at the hotel, specifically catered to the younger crowd.

As vegetarians and vegans, we loved the variety of food options available at the hotel. The restaurant had delicious plant-based dishes and a great selection of fruits and vegetables. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options, including fresh smoothies and tasty baked crepes.

Felt more than at home, no complaints.

Absolutely incredible 5-star hotel with spacious sea view rooms and a stunning balcony. The location is perfect for exploring the city on foot and the welcome and service are top-notch. The breakfast is excellent, the restaurant has a breathtaking sea view, and the spa facilities are outstanding. The outdoor and indoor pools are fantastic, and the bed is so comfortable that we extended our stay. We will definitely return if we're in this city! The room was immaculate with a view of a charming medieval church, and the hotel itself exudes 19th-century elegance. The staff is attentive, multilingual, and the kitchen serves exquisite dishes. Fire safety is a priority throughout the hotel. The beachfront location, away from the loud tourist crowds, is perfect. The staff goes above and beyond, resolving complaints smoothly. Eating breakfast on the terrace by the sea is a dream. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to visit again next year!

stayed in opatija before but liburnia was a game-changer. lovely staff, private beach, amazing breakfast by the sea. clean rooms, fantastic view. the hotel has a classy 19th-century feel and is away from traffic. staff is attentive and multilingual. will definitely return for a short break next year.

Old fashon hotel with old fashon stuff, who are well trained, very professional and speaking all languages. Location is the best in Opatija. Beautiful terrace and cute swimingpool. Ideal for romantic people who wants to feel like living in the past.

Very old hotel so no luxury to expect. No air condition, no mini bar. But very charming still.

We were delighted with our stay at Hotel Kvarner. The room was immaculate and had a beautiful view of a medieval church and its picturesque yard. The hotel exudes charm and elegance with its 19th-century ambiance, and it is conveniently located away from the main road, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. The proximity to the sea, with just the open terrace and coastal walkway separating the hotel from the beach, added to the allure. The staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service, displaying exceptional competence and fluency in multiple languages. The meals served in the hotel's kitchen were of excellent quality, and we appreciated the presence of a fire sprinkler system throughout the hotel for safety.

We did encounter some challenges during our stay. We had made a reservation five months in advance for a birthday trip with seven friends.

Hotel Kvarner is a Grand Old Dame. The location in Opatia is wonderful and everything in the town is walking distance. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The location direct on the seaside is magnificent. The room rate I payed through Booked.net was exceptional value for money.

The breakfast included in the room rate is not up to the standard I expect for such a nice hotel, then again at the room rate charged, finding a good coffee and a croissant elsewhere did not hurt. The hotel is showing its age and fully renovating the rooms would not go amiss (although; then it would become a great luxury hotel and I probably could no longer afford to stay there)

Great location by the sea, amazing views and friendly staff. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety in the buffet. We also enjoyed spending time at the pool and spa area, which was relaxing and cozy.

The hotel is quite old and in need of renovations. The decor and furnishings were outdated, and the rooms lacked modern amenities and technology.

Great Location, Wonderful Spa

This hotel is located in a prime area, with easy access to the beautiful beach and nearby attractions. The spa services offered by the hotel are top-notch and provided a relaxing experience after a long day of work. The rooms were clean and well-maintained and the breakfast was delicious with a variety of homemade dishes to choose from.

The hotel could improve on managing the sun lounges as it was frustrating to see them reserved with towels early in the morning and left unused for hours. The service at the bar was also slow, with staff not coming to take orders unless called over, which made for an inconvenient experience.

Some furniture was too old and shabby (e.g. doors, windows and wardrobe). Also the bathroom didn't seem well maintained.

Location and staff. Also, breakfast is pretty good.

Rooms need to be reconstructed immediately. If there is no budget for complete reconstruction, they can just paint it.
